Leslie’s Rose, last seen finishing fourth in the Grade 1 Coaching Club American Oaks in July, was back at work Thursday.
The 4-year-old filly by Into Mischief breezed three furlongs in 38.3 seconds at Palm Beach Downs, the fastest of four at the distance.
Leslie’s Rose won three of her first four starts, including the Ashland (G1) before finishing 13th in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) for trainer Todd Pletcher last year. She then was second to Thorpedo Anna in the Acorn (G1) before her final start at Saratoga.
