There’s nothing better than a workout that doesn’t feel like a workout, right? With this dance session, presented by VITAL PROTEINS® Collagen Peptides available at Walmart**, you’ll look, feel, and move your best as host and choreographer Sheela Awe leads you through a class that’s actually a sneaky cardio workout.
You’ll start with a high-energy routine that will repeat until you’re ready to go full-out. To tie in with the New Year, Awe will encourage you to shake off last year with a dance move. Stay in the moment and let go of anything that is no longer serving you. Next up, you’ll work on levels, lateral movements, and jumps to get your heart rate up. As you repeat this dance, be sure to add your own flavor.
As the workout progresses, Awe introduces a cardio-intensive jump track. She sneaks in more jump squats than we care to count but trust us, your legs will feel them tomorrow. For the next set of choreography, Awe incorporates body rolls and raising the roof at a slow pace before encouraging you to pick it up. The last dance track is a powerhouse moment and includes kicks, grapevines, and jumps that will have you moving all around your space. If you’re working out at home with furniture, you can modify the movements or complete them in place. Just make sure to have fun with it!
After all that jumping, Awe leads a cooldown. You’ll leave this class energized to take on your day and the new year. And if you enjoyed Awe’s class, follow along and check out new workouts on the PS Fitness YouTube channel.
