QATAR. Thélios, LVMH Eyewear Excellence, has partnered with Qatar Duty Free to unveil a luxury multi-brand eyewear concept at Hamad International Airport in Doha.
The store officially opened on 12 June with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from Qatar Duty Free and Thélios.
Situated on the luxury boulevard of Concourse B, the 45sq m boutique features a curated selection of LVMH’s luxury eyewear brands including Dior, Fendi, Bulgari, Tag Heuer, Celine and Loewe.
Each brand within the Thélios portfolio features in a dedicated space, showcasing their rich visual identity in a light and airy environment designed with neutral tones. The store’s minimalist aesthetic places the emphasis on Thélios’ luxurious eyewear offerings.
One of the store’s notable features is a Snapchat-powered augmented-reality mirror. This technology allows shoppers to virtually try-on a variety of eyewear styles before making a purchase, adding an interactive and modern touch to the shopping experience.
Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President Thabet Musleh commented: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Thélios, representing LVMH’s exceptional position in the luxury eyewear industry for this exclusive retail offering. This innovative new multi-brand concept perfectly complements the existing QDF sunglasses and fashion offer at Hamad International Airport.”
According to the partners, the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the travel retail experience. The store not only offers a wide selection of luxury eyewear but also provides an engaging shopping environment for passengers.
Thélios Head of Global Travel Retail Alessandro Eucaliptus commented: “Doha’s Hamad International Airport is one of the most important airports in the world, setting unprecedented standards in travel retail. It was paramount for Thélios to be present there with this new concept.
“With this concept, we are able to deliver a luxury experience for travellers through a tailor-made layout, elevating eyewear presence at the airport and reinforcing Thélios’ luxury positioning within the channel.” ✈
