The high school winter season has seen some great performances over break.

There were plenty of great performances across many sports and schools in the Holland area.

Who had the best performance? Vote for the top athlete of the week. Voting will go until noon Friday each week.

Here is a little more about each candidate:

Gavin Drenten, Zeeland East wrestling

Chix senior broke the all-time wins record at Zeeland East with 165 total after two wins in an OK Black quad.

Aiden Segovia, Holland wrestling

Dutch star grappler reached a milestone 100 career wins with a couple of hard-earned victories this week

Shane Dams, Hamilton wrestling

Hawkeyes star reached 100 career victories this week, joining the exclusive milestone group at Hamilton.

Arthur Powell, Holland basketball

Senior forward returned after a broken nose to score 13 points and lead Dutch past Zeeland West in an OK Black showdown.

Titus Spencer, Holland Christian basketball

Junior guard scored 26 points to lead the Maroons past Spring Lake in an OK Black matchup.

BJ Walker, Zeeland East basketball

Senior guard totaled 34 points, seven rebounds and two assists in a win over Forest Hills Central.

William Bensinger, Black River basketball

River Rats player came up with a big game, scoring 16 points in a 53-50 win over Martin.

Kaitlyn Geurink, Hamilton basketball

Senior forward scored 22 points in a comeback win over Unity Christian in OK Black Conference play. She also had 15 points in a win over Holland.

Camryn VandenBosch, Holland Christian basketball

Scored 16 points with six steals in a win over Zeeland East on Tuesday, then had 15 points in a win over Spring Lake.

Tali Laskowski, Saugatuck basketball

Guard scored 19 points in a dominant win over rival Gobles in SAC play.

Sydni Smith, Black River basketball

Was one off her own school record when she scored 28 points in a win over Wellspring Prep.
