The NFL doesn’t sleep after the Super Bowl. Even the Philadelphia Eagles, riding high after crushing the Kansas City Chiefs’ bid for a three-peat, have to get back to the drawing board in the wake of a glorious, boozy romp through the streets of eastern Pennsylvania.
The start of the offseason means the unofficial beginning of 2025 NFL free agency. While no one can be officially signed until March 12 — and reports about signings won’t be unveiled until the legal tampering period begins on March 10 — February is the time where front offices begin lining up their chess pieces for the action ahead.
The Eagles have multiple high profile free agents who played a major role in the team’s latest world championship. They aren’t the only franchise who may feel the burn this spring. While the 2025 NFL free agent class isn’t loaded with high profile stars, there are tons of starters who could be the difference between making the playoffs and staying home in January.
Let’s take a look at the top 101, ranked by impact (and possibly too heavily skewed by their recent output. I’m looking at you, No. 5 Josh Sweat). “Age” represents how old a player will be during the 2025 NFL season. All average salary information is courtesy of Over the Cap, which is a wonderful offseason (and in-season) resource.

38. WR Stefon Diggs
- 2024 avg. salary: $22,520,000

Jay Biggerstaff-Imagn Images
- 2024 avg. salary: $13,000,000

Katie Stratman-USA TODAY Sports

- 2024 avg. salary: $21,000,000

54. LB Bobby Wagner
- 2024 avg. salary: $6,500,000

55. G Kevin Zeitler
- 2024 avg. salary: $6,000,000

Brad Penner-Imagn Images
- 2024 avg. salary: $1,255,000

60. RB Najee Harris
- 2024 avg. salary: $3,261,861
- Who is he? Harris’s best availability may be his availability, but you could do worse than an average, experienced running back capable of churning out tough yards.

67. G Aaron Banks
- 2024 avg. salary: $1,768,402

68. WR DeAndre Hopkins
- 2024 avg. salary: $13,000,000
- Who is he? He’s long in the tooth, but Hopkins’ 1.86 yards per route run was right next to Jordan Addison in the NFL leaderboard, which suggests he’s still creating his own space for clutch throws.
69. CB Donte Jackson
- 2024 avg. salary: $6,000,000
