An eagle-eyed cricket fan thought he had the perfect opportunity to snap a photo with one of the country’s best young players – but it had an unfortunate outcome.
In a video posted on the Sydney Thunder’s Instagram account on Wednesday, footage showed teen sensation Sam Konstas arriving for training.
The 19-year-old was wheeling his kit as a four-wheeled drive pulled into a parking spot and the man jumped out to race up to Konstas, likely to snap a quick photo.

Unfortunately, his efforts were all in vain as he forgot to put his hanbdrake on and was forced to run back to his car
It was all too late however, as the vehicle rolled straight into another parked car.
“The Konstas effect,” the caption from the Thunder read.
“We obtained approval from all parties involved to share this footage.
“No one was injured.”
Konstas has taken the world by storm in recent months, bursting onto the scene with twin centuries for NSW in the Sheffield Shield competition.
His performances at first-class earned Konstas a call-up to the Australian side for the Boxing Day Test, where he blasted a series-defining 60 against a strong Indian attack.
His brash antics during the series prompted a fiery response from the tourists, but endeared him to the Australian cricket fans.
The right-handed opener has since returned to Big Bash duties for the Thunder, scoring a half-century in his side’s win over the Perth Scorchers on Monday night.
Konstas will travel with the Test squad to Sri Lanka later this month and could feature in the two-game series.
