Over the course of its 40-year history, Jordan Brand hasn’t been afraid of revisiting the past, offering heritage product in new manners and for new audiences. In the last handful of years, the Nike, Inc. subsidiary has ventured out more frequently into the golf space, creating product for the green infused with and derived from #23’s winning legacy. The latest such example arrives in the form of the Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low Golf in an iconic ‘UNC’ colorway.
Clad in ‘White/University Blue,’ the pair falls in line with other Jordan Brand footwear inspired by Mike’s alma mater – which also includes the Air Jordan 1 ‘UNC Reimagined’ arriving throughout summer. The low-top offering presents equal-parts of the aforementioned color duo throughout its leather upper. The segment panels across the profiles lead the way for vibrant ‘University Blue’ flair to revel in the spotlight. The University of North Carolina-friendly hue also animates the back-half of the midsole.
Although the Nu Retro maintains most of its design intact from 2002, the silhouette doesn’t utilize its radial rubber tread. Instead, spikes are place throughout the forefoot and heel to ensure golfers have reliable traction across 18-holes.
Enjoy official photos of the latest golf-ready offering from Jordan Brand below. A Nike.com release should take place by April for $150.
