In the world of gymnastics, Simone Biles has set new standards for the sport.
On Friday, before being in Stegeman Coliseum for the GymDogs home opener against Boise State, Biles got her very own UGA football jersey courtesy of the Georgia football program.
She appeared in a photo on UGA football equipment’s Instagram page with her husband, Jonathan Owens, a safety for the NFL’s Chicago Bears.
Biles is in Athens to support her longtime coach Cécile Canqueteau-Landi, Georgia’s first year co-coach and also the coach of Olympians Jordan Chiles and Maddie Kocian.
Biles is a seven-time Olympic gold medalist and has 12 total medals, including three golds and a silver last summer at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
She is widely considered the greatest to ever step on the mats, performing daring maneuvers that have never been seen.
Biles, 27, never competed in college gymnastics.
