SAGINAW, Mich. — The Boys and Girls Clubs in Saginaw concluded an eight-week golf program designed to teach children the game while fostering essential life skills.
The initiative, led by First Tee Eastern Michigan, not only focused on golf basics but also emphasized teamwork, leadership, and skills applicable beyond the sport.
Paige Kopchak, Executive Director of First Tee Eastern Michigan, said, “They are developing as individuals, but also learning how they can work with others and they can do something bigger than them.”
Due to the overwhelming support from participating children, the Boys and Girls Clubs and First Tee Eastern Michigan are hopeful to continue their partnership and offer the golf program again this spring.
