Palm Springs buzzes with exceptional dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences at The Block. Both locals and tourists mix and mingle here, especially during the ever-popular Palm Springs VillageFest, when the bustling outdoor courtyard becomes a primo spot for people-watching. The area also offers free parking and is entirely walkable.
Enjoy plenty of dining options, from grab-and-go spots like On the Mark to fine dining at 4 Saints on the rooftop of the Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs. Shop major retailers like H&M and Sephora or satisfy your sweet tooth at Lolli and Pops before checking out the Hohmann showroom for some contemporary art. The Block also houses office spaces for a handful of service-based businesses and several residential rental units for those looking to live steps away from all the area has to offer.
Snap a quick pic with “Love Letters,” the popular art installation by graphic designer Maru Palmersheim and Jack Rivers from Palm Springs’ Canyon Print & Signs. Swing by Colette Miller’s colorful mural “Angel Wings” and the brushed-steel “Isabelle” statue by Julian Voss-Andreae for more Instagram-worthy shots.
An aromatic collection at Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar & Store.
Ponzu Sushi’s lounge offers relaxation.
Grab a seat at the Ponzu bar to watch the sushi chefs slice and dice.
Newer additions to The Block include Ponzu Sushi, Canopy Wine Lounge, and Pandora Jewelry, bringing upscale dining and shopping to the area. Rowan Courts, the Kimpton Rowan’s premier pickleball courts, recently replaced the “Babies” by David Černý — though you can still spot one lingering on the Kimpton Rowan’s exterior.
“My favorite thing about The Block is that it is the heart of downtown,” property manager Mary Flores says.
