Hutto has hired North Crowley offensive coordinator as its new football coach, the school announced Tuesday.
Reinhart, 31, spent the last three years directing the North Crowley offense, which culminated in a 50-21 win over Westlake in the Class 6A Division I state championship game in December as the Panthers completed a 16-0 season. North Crowley averaged 54 ppg last fall.
Reinhart also already is familiar with the Austin area; he was Anderson’s offensive coordinator in 2021.
North Crowley went 42-2 during Reinhart’s three years running the offense, including a 14-1 campaign in 2023 when it lost to eventual state runner-up Duncanville in the Class 6A Division I semifinals.
“Reinhart is an innovative offensive mind from a coaching family with a track record of success,” said Hutto athletic director Will Compton, who was the school’s previous football coach, in the school’s statement. “His passion to inspire excellence on the field and in academics will continue to cultivate a winning culture throughout all of Hippo Nation.”
Reinhart’s offense at Anderson scored at least 38 points five times and averaged 33.9 points in that 2021 season.
Prior to his year at Anderson, Reinhart spent four years at the college level on the staff at Central Michigan as an offensive analyst and assistant wide receivers coach. A native of Michigan, he began his coaching career in 2013 as an assistant at Montrose High School, where his father has been the head coach since 1994.
