India’s blistering innings began with a power-packed performance from openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma.
The duo set the tone right from the start, reaching the 50-run mark in just 3 overs. By achieving this milestone, India recorded the fastest team fifty in Test cricket, surpassing the previous mark in stunning fashion.
Despite Rohit losing his wicket shortly after, Jaiswal continued his onslaught, blazing to a 31-ball half-century.

Jaiswal’s partnership with Shubman Gill pushed India further into record-breaking territory. With their aggressive strokeplay, the team raced past 100 in just 10.1 overs, creating another record for the quickest team hundred in the history of Test cricket.
Although wickets fell at regular intervals, the Indian batsmen refused to relent. Gill’s departure and Rishabh Pant’s brief cameo didn’t slow the momentum, as the incoming batsmen maintained the high run rate.
After losing a few quick wickets, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul steadied the ship but continued attacking the Bangladesh bowlers. Their fluent strokeplay propelled India to the 200-run mark in just 24.2 overs, breaking yet another world record for the fastest team 200.
