We’re down to the final four in Dubai and Doha, and after upsets aplenty, those still standing have a huge opportunity to claim what would be one of the biggest titles of their career.
16:56 CET – The Doha semi-finals are now underway with Felix Auger-Aliassime (24) and Andrey Rublev (27) on serve at 6-5 to the Russian in the opening set.
16:23 CET – Mirra Andreeva (17) is a WTA 1000 finalist! She’s made it to the final of one for the first time with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win over Elena Rybakina (25). There wasn’t much between the two, but the Russian played the bigger points better.
13:05 CET – With just under an hour to go until Rybakina vs Andreeva, let’s take a look ahead to it.
The two have only ever faced off once before on the WTA tour with Rybakina winning a tight contest 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 at the China Open in October of 2023.
Both have been in fine form in Dubai – Rybakina has only dropped one set in her three matches while Andreeva has won all of hers.
08:30 CET – The main event today is the semi-final action in the Middle East, and the first one will begin at 13:00 CET when Elena Rybakina (25), the highest seed remaining in Dubai, will take on Mirra Andreeva (17).
Once that match is finished, the unseeded Clara Tauson (22) and world number 17 Karolina Muchova (29) will battle it out for the other spot in the final.
In Doha meanwhile, Felix Auger-Aliassime (24) and Andrey Rublev (27) will take to the court at 16:00 CET before Jack Draper (23) faces Jiri Lehecka (23).
