Only the Netherlands now stand between the Italians and a second title in a row.

Being the world number nine, Australia’s counterpart isn’t bad either, but Alex De Minaur (25) will have to play the match of his life to get his nation into a deciding doubles contest.
Follow the clash between the two here.
16:01 CET – 1-0 Italy! Matteo Berrettini (28) has delivered the good for his nation, beating Thanasi Kokkinakis (28) 6-7, 6-3, 7-5 in a contest that lasted for nearly three hours. The Italian broke the Aussie’s serve at 6-5 before serving things out.

14:25 CET – A thrilling first set in Malaga has been won by Kokkinakis, with the Aussie saving three set points before stealing it 7-6! It would be huge for Australia if he can finish the job now, ensuring that they can afford to lose to Sinner later on.
