We have reached the quarter-final stage in Doha as the last eight all take to court in what is set to be a star-studded day of tennis. Elsewhere, ATP action continues on three other continents as the business end of the week’s action approaches.
22:25 CET – The final match of the day has concluded in Marseille, Jan-Lennard Struff (34) has come through a tough test from home player Hugo Grenier (28) to win 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 and book his quarter-final spot.
21:41 CET – Diego Schwartzman’s (32) professional career has now come to an end. The Argentine was taking part in his final tournament in Buenos Aires and fell 6-2, 6-2 to Pedro Martinez (27), saying farewell on home turf.
A former top-ten player and someone who was so good on clay, he will most definitely be missed.
21:35 CET – Amanda Anisimova (23) is the final woman into the Doha semi-finals after a thrilling 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory over Marta Kostyuk (22).
It was a rollercoaster contest from start to finish, which even saw Kostyuk reel off five straight games after trailing a double break in the opening set.
Anisimova will now face Ekaterina Alexandrova (30) in the last four.
21:13 CET – Brandon Nakashima (23) has progressed in Delray Beach, outlasting Reilly Opelka (27) 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 to secure a quarter-final spot.
19:51 CET – No. 1 seed Daniil Medvedev (29) has got his Marseille campaign off to a fine start, easily defeating Pierre-Hugues Herbert (33) 6-2, 6-4 to move into the last eight.
Meanwhile, the incredibly talented Joao Fonseca (18) has battled into his third career quarter-final, overcoming Federico Coria (32) 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 in Buenos Aires.
18:55 CET – What a return to form it has been for Jelena Ostapenko (27) in Doha! The Latvian has struggled for her best in singles in 2025, but has been playing some magnificent tennis this week, and has now obliterated Ons Jabeur (30) 6-2, 6-2.
She will play Iga Swiatek (23) in the next round, who she has a 4-0 winning record against, interestingly.
18:23 CET – Hubert Hurkacz’s (28) tricky start to the season has continued in Marseille, with Zhizhen Zhang (28) claiming a really impressive 6-4, 6-7(1), 6-3 over the Pole to move into the quarter-finals.
17:20 CET – Iga Swiatek (23) continues to motor along at one of her favourite tournaments, defeating Elena Rybakina (25) 6-2, 7-5 to stay on course for a fourth consecutive title.
Despite going 4-2 down in the second set, the Pole was just too good on the day, and now moves into the last four.
15:22 CET – What a remarkable few weeks it has been for Ekaterina Alexandrova (30), who has just beaten Jessica Pegula (30) 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 to move into the Doha semi-finals!
After winning the title in Linz last week, the Russian has continued her scintillating form in Qatar. Despite losing the first set against Pegula, Alexandrova managed to up her game significantly, totally dismantling her American opponent, making it eight wins in a row.
13:30 CET – We are about to get underway in both Doha and Marseille, with the main highlight seeing Jessica Pegula (30) taking on Ekaterina Alexandrova (30) for a place in Friday’s semi-finals.
The pair have met twice before each winning one each. The last time they played on a hard court was in Miami last year with Alexandrova winning in three sets.
See if she can do it again with us here.
09:00 CET – Let’s look ahead to today’s action then, and the highlights come from Doha, where the standout tie is our second game of the day between second seed Iga Swiatek (23) and Kazakh star Elena Rybakina (25).
Yesterday, Swiatek dropped her first set in Doha since 2022 in the win over Linda Noskova, but the Pole has won the tournament for the last three years, making her the favourite for this clash.
Elsewhere, Jessica Pegula (30) takes on Ekaterina Alexandrova (30) from 13:30 CET, whilst Ons Jabeur (30) continues her comeback against Jelena Ostapenko (27), someone she beat in Abu Dhabi last week.
Over on the ATP Tour, top seed Daniil Medvedev (29) continues his quest for the title in Marseille. He takes on Pierre-Hugues Herbert (33) from 17:00 CET, and the Frenchman has previous against Medvedev, beating him in a five-set thriller at Rolan Garros back in 2019.
And the feel-good story of the tour is definitely in Buenos Aires, where the soon-retiring Diego Schwartzman (32) continues his fairy tale with a tie against Pedro Martinez (27), who will look to spoil the home party.
08:30 CET – Good morning and welcome to another edition of Flashscore’s Tennis Tracker – the best place to keep track of all the action from around the world.
Before we look ahead to a tantalising day on the courts, let’s bring you up to speed with a couple of matches from overnight.
In Buenos Aires, the Cerundolo brothers did battle on the clay courts, and it was the eldest Francisco (26) who came out on top, beating younger sibling Juan Manuel (23) 6-2, 6-3 to get the bragging rights.
Over to Delray Beach, where third seed Alex Michelsen (20) progressed against fellow American Michael Mmoh (27) as the latter retired in the second set despite winning the opener 10-8 in the tie-break.
