The Serb, who has not won a title in 2024, will have fend off a stacked field, including Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, and Jannik Sinner.

Top ranked Iga Swiatek returns to her favourite venue for a chance at Olympic glory. The 23-year-old is the unanimous favourite to the claim the title, but will have weary eye on Japanese star, Naomi Osaka.

Osaka provided a stern challenge to the Pole in the second round of the French Open this year, taking the eventual winner to decisive third set.

Washington: The First Major Test of the Summer

The ATP Tour and WTA kick off three weeks of top-flight action ahead of this year’s US Open.

Always a players an fan-favourite, this year’s event in D.C. will feature Ben Shelton, Grigor Dimitrov, Frances Tiafoe, Aryna Sabalenka, Ons Jabeur and  Emma Raducanu.

The men’s draw will consist of a 48 player field, while the women’s tournament will be highlighted by 32 participants.
