WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Nick Tellone led the St. John Fisher University golf team to a ninth-place finish at the Northeast Elite tournament at Williamsport Country Club over the weekend.
Tellone, who finished one under par, paced ninth in a field of more than 100 golfers in the two-day tournament. He carded a 68 on Saturday and a 73 during a rainy round to finish the tournament on Sunday.
Nick Years (+4) finished in a tie for 25th place with five other golfers. He shot a 72 on Saturday and a 74 on Sunday.
Trinity College (Conn.) won the tournament, shooting three under par as a team. Hamilton’s Ramon Aroca Gonzalez (-7) took first on the individual leaderboard.
The Cardinals will compete in the Empire 8 Fall Championship on Oct. 6-7 at Seven Oaks Country Club in Hamilton, New York.
