Joe Burrow says he expects both Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins to re-sign
In an interview before the 2025 Super Bowl, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow said he expects both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to remain with the team.
Free-agent receiver Tee Higgins, who has played his first five NFL seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals, was on hand Friday night to watch the Aiken High School boys’ basketball team improve to 20-0 this season with an 86-70 win at Taft.
Higgins played in 12 games last season for the Bengals, recording 73 receptions for 911 receiving yards with 10 touchdown catches. Over five seasons, he’s got 330 catches for 4,595 receiving yards with 34 TDs.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, who Thursday night won the AP Comeback Player of the Year award, was asked during an interview last week with SiriusXM NFL Radio whether he thinks the team will be able to bring back Higgins and extend contracts for Ja’Marr Chase and Trey Hendrickson.
“We can make it happen,” Burrow said. “We can make it happen. And it just has to be right for everybody involved. I know the players want to make it work. We all want to be together. So I don’t see it not working out, but we’ll see.”
