MAUI, HAWAII – TCU had its best round in its final round as the Horned Frogs finished tied for sixth at the Ka’anapali Classic on Monday.
The Horned Frogs shot 13-under 271 in the final round to move to 32-under 820 for the tournament, which is tied for the fifth lowest score vs. par in program history. TCU tied with Georgia and was just four strokes out of second place. Oklahoma (-42) won the tournament, held at the Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course.
Jack Beauchamp continued his stellar play with a score of 2-under 69 in the final round. He finished with a career-best 12-under 201 and was seventh. Beauchamp played three rounds of golf and had just four holes that scored greater than par.
Joe Pagdin recorded two eagles, both on par 5 holes. He finished 2-under 69 and finished tied for 14th at 9-under 204.
Toby Wilt had the tournament’s second-best round of the day with a career-best 6-under 65 behind seven made birdies. Wilt moved up 45 spots to tie for 35th place at 5-under 208.
Scott Roden finished with his best round of the tournament at 3-under 68. He finished at 2-over 215 and tied for 80th place.
TCU will return to action Feb. 9-11 at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate in Humacao, Puerto Rico.
