Adam Griffith has been appointed as Cricket Australia’s national pace bowling coach, with a key focus on developing the next generation of Australian fast bowlers.
He will relocate to Brisbane to take up the role at the National Cricket Centre, moving from his current position as an assistant coach with Victoria.
A former Sheffield Shield winner with Tasmania, Griffith played 50 first-class matches, taking 169 wickets. He has also been involved with the Australian men’s team on previous tours, including the 2019 ODI World Cup.

With Australia’s top fast bowlers aging, Griffith will help draw a long-term strategy for managing and nurturing pace talents. His responsibilities will include working with head coach Andrew McDonald, the Australia A team, and developing pace bowling coaches.
Griffith brings significant coaching experience, having worked with Western Australia, Tasmania, and the Hobart Hurricanes. He was also a bowling coach for Royal Challengers Bangaluru before its recent coaching changes.
Welcoming Griffith to the role, McDonald said, “Adam’s expertise across all formats will be invaluable in the preparation of pace bowlers for Australia’s national men’s teams.”
