Sweet 16 still undefeated in N.J. football, but some of them just barely
We enter the public school playoff semifinals and first round for the non-publics with 16 undefeated teams remaining, and a few who may be feeling just a little lucky to have stayed that way after some tense moments last week.
One of those four – Cliffside Park – will have plenty of time to watch their chewed fingernails grow back, though, as the 9-0 Red Raiders closed out their season with a 33-27 victory over Demarest in the Super Football Conference Ivy Division championship. Teams from the two developmental Ivy divisions do not qualify for the NJSIAA playoffs.
