Despite being 10-3 and the No. 3 seed in the AFC, there doesn’t seem to be much optimism about the Pittsburgh Steelers potentially getting a win over the Philadelphia Eagles this week. Pittsburgh is currently a 5.5-point underdog and analysts have largely ignored this matchup despite how high-profile these two teams are.
In fact, if you look at the NFL expert picks on NFL Pick Watch, only 18 percent of the more than 200 online picks from pundits are taking the Steelers on the road this weekend.
We’ve had this one marked as a loss since before the season started. Now that the Steelers are 10-3 and playing well, does this change our minds? Unfortunately, no. Pittsburgh got some awful injury news this week and being minus wide receiver George Pickens, defensive lineman Larry Ogunjob and strong safety DeShon Elliott are injuries we just can’t see the Steelers overcome on the road to a team as good as the Eagles.
