Bengals Beat Podcast: Taking a look at the back half of the schedule
Enquirer sports writer Pat Brennan joins Kelsey Conway to take a look at the rest of the Bengals schedule following the bye week.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris suffered an apparent injury during the first quarter of the NFL Week 13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at Paycor Stadium.
Harris was attended to on the sideline after making a catch and getting forced out of bounds. He appeared to come up lame as he ran with the catch and immediately squatted on the sideline at the end of the play.
“No obvious indication of what the injury is right now,” CBS sideline reporter Evan Washburn said during the broadcast. “He’s receiving some oxygen on the sideline.”
Harris was up and walking around on the sideline at the conclusion of the Bengals’ second scoring drive, and rejoined the Steelers’ offense on the bench. But Harris remained on the sideline for the Steelers’ next offensive possession.
“I’m told he has been cleared (to return),” Washburn added late in the first quarter.
Harris did return to the game during the second quarter.
Harris, in his fourth season with the Steelers, leads the team in rushing yards. He was a first-round pick of the Steelers in the 2021 NFL draft, 19 picks after the Bengals selected receiver Ja’Marr Chase with the fifth overall pick.
Harris has not missed a game during his NFL career. He has scored four touchdowns in his past three games against Cincinnati, and rushed for at least 78 yards in each of those three games.
