As the NFL announced the top 10 of its Top 100 Players of 2024 list, one Steeler made the cut.
To the surprise of no one, that player is T.J. Watt. Coming in as the eighth best player in the NFL this year, Watt has jumped up 19 spots since his injury-plagued 2023, where he landed at No. 27.
Watt is the fourth Steelers player to make the list, above Cam Heyward (No. 98), Minkah Fitzpatrick (No. 79), and Patrick Queen (No. 64).
Watt led the NFL with 19 sacks last season, adding 68 total tackles and one interception. This year, he ranks above high profile edge rushers such as Micah Parsons, Maxx Crosby, and Nick Bosa. However, he still ranks below Browns’ defensive end Myles Garrett, who came in at No. 5 on the list.
