Starting 5: NBA All-Star Donovan Mitchell has one of league’s top-selling jerseys, more
Former Louisville basketball star Donovan Mitchell, who recently was voted a starter for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, has one of the top-selling jerseys in the NBA.
Mitchell averages 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who had the Eastern Conference’s best record at 36-8 through Friday’s games.
Mitchell, who has the 15th best-selling jersey, was featured on the list for the first time in his career.
Nine players on the list were named All-Star starters.
The NBA All-Star weekend is scheduled Feb. 14-16 at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Racing Louisville FC recently signed Louisville native Allie George, who played four years for Virginia Tech after starring at Sacred Heart.

George was named to the third-team All-Atlantic regional team. She led the Hokies to the Elite Eight for the second time in program history and scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Iowa in the Sweet 16.

Grace Phillpotts, who recently signed with Brooklyn FC, played two seasons for Kentucky soccer.
Phillpotts, who started 21 games for the Wildcats, earned first-team All-SEC honors after the 2024 season.
Brooklyn FC is one of eight inaugural teams in the USL Super League.
“I am extremely excited to join Brooklyn FC and begin this new chapter. I am thrilled to contribute to a team that values community, teamwork, and success and I am looking forward to connecting with the fans and representing Brooklyn FC,” Phillpotts said in a news release.
DeSales football senior wide receiver Da’Von Martin recently committed to Gardner-Webb.
Martin caught 70 passes for 977 yards and 12 touchdowns last season.
He earned honorable-mention honors on the Courier Journal’s 2024 All-State team.
Bellarmine men’s basketball will visit Austin Peay at 8 p.m. Thursday and then travel to Lipscomb at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Bellarmine women’s basketball will host North Florida at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Jacksonville at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Bellarmine wrestling will host Appalachian State at 7 p.m. Friday and VMI at 1 p.m. Feb. 2.
