Slovak Rebecca Sramkova edged out Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo 1-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5 to move into the semi-finals of the Jasmin Open at the Skanes Family Hotel Monastir.
Sramkova, ranked No 136, will play the winner of the match between Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 7 seed, and Croat qualifier Antonia Ruzic next.
The Slovak defeated French qualifier Elsa Jacquemot (2-6, 7-5, 6-3) and Frenchwoman Clara Burel, the second seed (7-6 (4), 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Monastir tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Sorribes Tormo, ranked No 115, won against Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 8 seed (6-4, 6-4) and edged out Croat Jana Fett (5-7, 6-3, 6-4).
