Springfield PD Execute Search Warrant at Second Local Business For Alleged Illegal Gambling
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the Springfield Police Department executed a search warrant at Smoke & Vape, located at 1220 5th Ave W. MAP According to a release from the city of Springfield, the warrant followed a complaint about alleged illegal gambling inside the business, leading to an investigation.
This is the second such search warrant executed on a local business in Springfield in the past week. Last week, Springfield police conducted a similar search at Park Circle on Memorial Boulevard. Click here for our report.
As with the search at Park Circle, Springfield police removed several machines during their search at Smoke & Vape. An employee at Smoke & Vape was cited and charged with the misdemeanor crime of Gambling Promotion, according to the release.
