On Saturday, July 13, the Business Golf Challenge was played at the Ukiah Valley Golf Course. The tournament was played to benefit the Boys and Girls golf teams. This tournament, in its 28th consecutive year, consisted of 25 teams with 100 players participating in triple digit temperatures. The winning team was Thurston Auto Plaza. Players on the winning team consisted of Trevor Thurston, Tom Fetzer, Matty Randolph and Damien Bird. Second place went to the High School Boys Coaches with Bernice Sopp, Lloyd Hernandez, Doug Ware and Jonah Walsh. Third place was the Steve Miller Family with Rick Johnson, Lee Burgess, Jake Hansen and Shadi Mahfoud. Fourth place went to Schat’s Bakery with Zach Schat, Tim Keffeler, Pat Allen and Jeff Schlafer. Fifth place was Custom Heating and Cooling with Keith Gordon, Curt Gordon, Chase Gordon and Cary Beer. Sixth place went to McMillen Real Estate with players Ryan Carroll, Mark Pedersen, Tony Crudo and Tyler Hakin.
