Big Paradise earned the highest Brisnet Speed Rating of the week, 103, for his win in the Juvenile Stakes at Gulfstream Park on Saturday.
With Irad Ortiz Jr. riding for trainer David Fawkes, the son of The Big Beast took the lead on the turn in the 6 1/2-furlong race and won by 2 1/4 lengths. Owned and bred by Alex and JoAnne Lieblong, he also earned an 80 Beyer Speed Figure.
The highest Beyer of the week went to Skinner, winner of the Grade 3 Native Diver at Del Mar on Saturday. With Hector Berrios riding for trainer John Shirreffs, the 4-year-old Curlin colt rallied to win the 1 1/8-mile race by one length.
