Hit Show, a gritty 3/4-length winner of the Grade 2 Fayette Stakes at Keeneland, earned a 102 Brisnet Speed Rating for that performance, the highest stakes-winning figure of the week. He also earned a 93 Beyer Speed Figure. A winner of four of his five starts this season, the 4-year-old Brad Cox trainee had to battle pacesetting long shot Bolzy down the lane and was ultimately able to keep him at bay.
The top stakes-winning Beyer Speed Figure of the week was the 97 earned by Runninsonofagun for his repeat victory in the Bold Ruler (G3) at Aqueduct. Though he was nosed out at the wire by My Buddy B, that foe bumped Runninsonofagun near the sixteenth pole and stewards disqualified My Buddy B after an inquiry. Runninsonofagun also earned a 100 Brisnet figure for that performance.
One other horse earned a triple-digit Brisnet figure in a stakes win over the last week. Generous Lover earned a 101 Brisnet figure and a 94 Beyer for her 26 3/4-length romp in the Best of Ohio Distaff at Mahoning Valley on Saturday. Sent off the 1-5 favorite, she set the pace and bounded away from the field down the lane.
