Roll On Big Joe, a 5-year-old gelded son of Prospective, got his second win in as many starts this year with a gate-to-wire performance in the Grade 3 Palos Verdes at Santa Anita on Saturday, earning a 106 Brisnet Speed Rating and a 102 Beyer Speed Figure.
Magnitude, the 9 3/4-length winner of the Risen Star (G2) at odds of 43-1, earned a 108 Beyer and 105 Brisnet for the upset. Trained by Steve Asmussen, the Not This time colt earned 50 qualifying points for Kentucky Derby 2025, putting him at no. 2 on the leaderboard with a total of 55 points.
