The Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley has provided after school services and activities to underprivileged children for decades, enhancing young lives and building brighter futures.
To continue these personal growth and nurturing programs takes resources. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley runs four busy clubhouses: La Quinta, Indio, Mecca and Coachella. For 59 years, the Southwestern Growers Invitational, one of Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley’s top fundraisers, has gathered growers, packers, shippers, local business owners and industry leaders for three sold-out days of competitive golf and fun activities.
“The golf tournament was another huge success,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley President and CEO Quinton Egson. “Many thanks to the sponsors, participants, volunteers and other caring stakeholders for answering the call to help generate the much-needed financial resources that enable us to provide services to over 5,000 young people and their families.
“Thank you to Jeff and Sandy Taylor, who won the Corvette and donated it back to the club. Their tireless years of support have made a tremendous difference in leveling the playing field for thousands of underserved youths in our valley. Our key to growth and long-term success, sustainability is tied to our partnership with the agriculture community. Their efforts have enhanced the quality of life for our kids.”
