CINCINNATI — The availability of one of the Cincinnati Bengals‘ top receivers is in doubt for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins could be unavailable after a quadriceps issue Friday, sources told ESPN’s Dan Graziano on Saturday night. Higgins will be a game-time decision for the home game, but there is pessimism about his chances to take the field.
Higgins had been in good form leading into this week. He notched 75 or more receiving yards in the past three games and played a key role in back-to-back wins over the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns.
The fifth-year receiver out of Clemson had no issues until Friday, when he was limited in the team’s practice and was officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
Higgins sat out two games at the beginning of the season because of a soft-tissue injury. After having no major issues in training camp, he sustained a hamstring injury just days before the team’s season opener against the New England Patriots. Higgins sat out that game and the subsequent one against Kansas City in Week 2.
In five games this season, Higgins has 29 receptions for 341 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
