Beta Zeta chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha in Cañon City is once again presenting the annual “Soup, Salad and Shopping” luncheon auction. The event will be on Saturday at the Christ First Church Fellowship Hall at the corner of Ninth and Main in downtown Cañon City.
The doors will open at 11 a.m. with a charge of $12. While people gather and chat, an amazing variety of baked goods and small gifts made by the Beta Zeta ladies will be available for purchase. The Soup and Salad Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. with freshly made soups, delicious salad and rolls, and cookies for dessert.
Following lunch, the auction will begin at 1 p.m. with a great selection of gift baskets, unique crafts, and holiday décor items.
The fundraiser allows Beta Zeta to provide a scholarship to a high school graduate each year. Contributions are also given to the Literacy Center, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Meals on Wheels, needy teens through DHS at Christmas, Fremont Regional Hospice, Sangre de Cristo Community Care, CASA, Orchard of Hope, and support for the Senior Breakfast-Fremont County Fair.
ESA is a huge supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “All proceeds from our drawing for the beautiful quilt will go to St. Jude,” said quilt creator Nancy Trebella.
RSVP by Oct. 1 to Nancy Trebella 719-429-1231 or nancytrebella@msn.com.
