SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Black Friday is known as the busiest shopping day of the year, but the day after, to some, is known as the most important shopping day of the year.
On Small Business Saturday, shops all across the country offer deals to encourage customers to shop locally, which directly stimulates the local economy.
“Business has been softer than it has been in previous years. I think we’re hearing that all across the country. However, the last few weeks and our holiday season so far have been great. There’s tons of people who support this holiday and support some businesses during the holidays and we’re extremely thankful,” said Terri Schuver, the owner of Sioux Falls business Sticks and Steel.
In Sioux Falls, it’s also important to remember that local shops aren’t just found downtown, but all over the city.
