Slovakia team captain Matej Liptak has named a five-woman squad for this key clash against the USA.

They are led by World No. 43 Rebecca Sramkova, coming off the best season of her career.

Sramkova became a WTA champion for the first time this year when she lifted the Hua Hin 250. She also made finals in Monastir and Jiujang.

She will be joined by the experienced Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, who finished fourth at the Olympic Games. 

There is also a place in the team for 17-year-old prodigy Renata Jamrichova, although her recent retirement at an ITF event could suggest she won’t picked to play.
