Should the Boston Celtics be favorites to repeat as NBA Champions? After steamrolling their way through the 2024 NBA Playoffs with just three losses on their way to hanging Banner 18, the Celtics used their 2024 offseason to simply bring back the same players (nearly to a man) that they had on the team that won their last title.
But it is fair to say that Boston had a fair amount of luck in terms of opponent injury and their own health, and the league did not stand still while they chose to run it back this summer. Could there be a team in either conference that is a plausible challenger to the Celtics for the 2025 NBA title? The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, linked up with Yahoo Sports’ Ben Rohrbach to talk it over on a recent episode of their show.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about which teams might be a threat to Boston.
