PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Christmas is one week away.
While some consumers across the Mid-Ohio Valley have finished their holiday shopping, there are still some that are spending time last minute shopping.
One shopper, Amelia Pierce, says she works a lot, so this was the only time she could really take to do her shopping.
She also said that this time of year is the best time for shopping because there are more sales closer to the holidays.
It’s also a busy time for retail employees, who are working to help last minute shoppers find the perfect gifts.
“I would say Christmas Eve is one of our busiest days. Black Friday being number one obviously. I’d say definitely closer to Christmas, it gets a lot more busier. Our line wraps around our cart, basically, so it’s definitely a busy time,” said Ka’Laiya Martin from North Pole Gifts.
Pierce says her advice for last minute shoppers is to be courteous, don’t be rude, and pay attention to what you’re doing.
