SAINT CLAIR — A confrontation inside Walmart led to a shot being fired that closed the store and forced the evacuation of employees Sunday afternoon, police said.
The Schuylkill County Communication Center reported that two men got into a confrontation, and one of them fired a warning shot at 3:55 p.m. inside Walmart.
No injuries were reported, according to police.
The store was evacuated and Walmart employees were standing in a group in the parking lot as darkness fell.
It is not known if the men involved in the incident are in custody.
State and local police condoned off the entrance to Coal Creek shopping center along Route 61.
Taco Bell locked down temporarily. Walmart employees sought refuge from rain in some of the other stores.
At 6 p.m., fire police still blocked entrances to the center.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
