Shanghai Masters: Cobolli edges Wawrinka to reach third round
Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 28 seed, beat Swiss wildcard Stan Wawrinka 6-7 (6), 7-6 (4), 6-3 to move into the third round of the Shanghai Masters at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.
Cobolli, ranked No 30, will play Serb Novak Djokovic, the No 4 seed, next.
Wawrinka, ranked No 236, won against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (7-6 (2), 7-6 (6)) in the previous round of the Shanghai tournament.
