The Kentucky Wildcats have continually produced some of the best players at the highest level in basketball. This season is no different, as both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Karl-Anthony Towns have been terrific for their respective teams.
SGA, who was recently named the NBA’s Player of the Week for the Western Conference, was also just dubbed the Player of the Month, ending with 33.3 points and 5.2 assists per game. More importantly, his Thunder sit atop the West and had a 12-1 record in the month.
SGA has been an MVP candidate and might be setting the stage for his best season yet.
As for KAT, he went for 23.2 points and 14.6 rebounds, an impressive double-double average. Like SGA, his Knicks, in his first year with the team, had an impressive 12-1 record. They sit 3rd in the Eastern Conference and are 11-4 at home this season.
KAT has a career 23 points-per-game average and is averaging 24.9 per game this season, along with 13.7 rebounds per game.
Both players are surging for their team, and with other former Cats like Devin Booker, Anthony Davis, and many others in the NBA, there has been supreme representation for Kentucky at the top level in the sport.
