PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Sevier County non-profits got a big boost from the hospitality association’s latest golf tournament.
Four Sevier County charities received $30,000 from the Pigeon Forge Hospitality and Tourism Association.
Receiving a $10,000 donation each were The Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains and Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic.
A $5,000 donation was also given to The Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries and Lakeway CASA.
“The PFHTA’s generous $5,000 donation to Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries (SMARM) empowers us to further our mission of supporting those in need within our community. This contribution enables us to provide vital resources and services, such as emergency housing, rental assistance, and utility assistance. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the opportunity it creates to extend hope and assistance where it is most needed,” said Ryan Huskey, executive director of Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries.
The money was raised by the Pigeon Forge Hospitality and Tourism Association during their annual golf tournament in September.
That money was given to them Thursday during the monthly membership meeting at the Ramsey Hotel & Convention Center in Pigeon Forge.
