The Reese’s Senior Bowl gets underway on Saturday in Mobile, Alabama at 2:30 p.m. ET, and when it does the Michigan Wolverines will be represented by three players.
Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, edge rusher Josaiah Stewart, and longsnapper William Wagner will be partaking in the Senior Bowl. Edwards, Stewart, and Wagner will all be playing for the National Team, whose head coach is New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka. The coach for the American Team is Cleveland Browns special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone.
Edwards rushed for 589 yards in 2024 with a 4.6 yards per carry average and four rushing touchdowns along with 18 receptions for 83 yards and one receiving touchdown. Stewart had 22 tackles (11 solo), 8.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Wagner appeared in 53 games for the Wolverines at longsnapper.
If you like quarterbacks, there are a handful of notable ones playing in the Senior Bowl, including Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart (American), Alabama’s Jalen Milroe (American), Notre Dame’s Riley Leonard (American), and Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel (National).
At running back there’s plenty of talent beyond Donovan Edwards including including Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon (National) and Georgia’s Trevor Etienne (American).
Players who fare well at the week of practices and put together a solid game on Saturday are bound to see their draft stock rise, and we’ll have a recap of the Senior Bowl on Monday, highlighting what Michigan players did as well as the standouts from the game.
