Section V football: Scores, live updates, highlights from Week 8
It’s the last week of the Section V football regular season.
Canandaigua (7-0) will try to close out the season undefeated when it travels to East (5-2). The Braves are No. 5 in the Class A rankings and East is No. 11.

Myles Wynn rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns and Ethan Heath added 110 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Irondequoit, which finished the regular season 7-1.
Allen Nesmith scored on a 1-yard run to pull McQuaid to within 24-21 against Fairport in the third quarter.
East has turned a 28-21 deficit into a 42-28 lead with 21 straight points against Canandaigua.
John Gossin intercepted a pass that bounced off a McQuaid player and returned it for a touchdown for Fairport, which leads McQuaid 24-14 late in the second quarter.
Xavier Cox made a spectacular one-handed 15-yard touchdown from Will DiMarco to cut McQuaid’s deficit against Fairport to 17-14.
Landon Scott threw for four touchdowns for Brockport.
Da’Mari Green took a short pass from Tyler Benjamin 50 yards for a touchdown to tie the game at 28-28 for East.
Fairport has scored 14 straight points. Samuel Roselli punched in a 1-yard touchdown run to give the Red Raiders a 14-7 lead.
Tre Comella has a hat trick. The Canandaigua running back scored on a 47-yard run to put Canandaigua ahead 28-21 against East.
Quarterback Drew Williamee scored on a quarterback sneak as time expired in the second quarter to put Canandaigua up 21-14. The Braves have scored 21 straight points.
Will DiMarco tossed a touchdown to AJ Quagrello and McQuaid leads Fairport, 7-0.
Canandaigua’s Tre Comella ran for a touchdown to even the score with East at 14-14.
Anthony Hampton scored a a rushing touchdown to put East on the board with a 7-0 lead over Canandaigua.
Landon Scott connected with Azay Odey for two touchdown passes, 55 yards and 45 yards, to give Brockport a 13-0 lead over Greece Arcadia.
