Resurfacing of Wolf Road in Des Plaines from north of Touhy Avenue (Illinois 72) to Golf Road (Illinois 58), scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 24, will require daytime intermittent lane closures, weather permitting.
The $3.4 million project, which consists of resurfacing the 2.6-mile stretch of Wolf Road and constructing new ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps, is anticipated to be completed in summer 2025. Access to residences and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
Over the next six years, IDOT is planning to improve more than 3,000 miles of highway and nearly 10 million square feet of bridge deck as part of Rebuild Illinois, which is investing $33.2 billion into all modes of transportation.
