SOUTH BERWICK, Maine – Junior Ella Smith scored a game-high 26 points and set the Berwick Academy girls basketball all-time scoring record in Thursday’s 64-60 win over Lexington Christian Academy in an Eastern Independent League game.
The previous record was set by Adara Gorman in 2017 with 1,198 points. Smith, who also had 14 rebounds and nine assists on Thursday, currently has 1,213 points.
Maizy Desrochers added 18 points and six rebounds for Berwick, while Olivia Flynn had 11 points, and Gracie Smith had seven points and four rebounds.
