WILTON, NY (WRGB) — In Gansevoort Friday, the focus wasn’t on shopping – but rather efforts to connect people to jobs.
Saratoga Bridges, a chapter of The ARC New York, held a job fair at the Wilton Day Habilitation Center on Route 9. The non-profit focuses on empowering people with intellectual disabilities through programs, recreation opportunities and transportation to programs or jobs. Those at Saratoga Bridges say they have a number of positions that they’re looking to fill.
HR director Nancy Blair: “We have all kinds, from a direct support professional to residential managers to an accountant to hab coordinators, program coordinators – it really is a meaningful job. You make a difference, and you see the difference that you make in people’s lives.”
You can find out more about the positions available at saratogabridges.org.
