70 Ranch Performance Horses has its roots down in Gainesville, Texas. It is known for its love and dedication to producing top-tier horses for the purpose of the rodeo and performance world. Streakin Images, affectionately known as Lex, is one of their beloved horse. She was a powerhouse in the barrel racing world. Lex is a six-figure earner and a three-time National Finals Rodeo (NFR) qualifier. Her undefeated skills are proof of her incredible speed. She excelled in the futurity world and also continued to shine in professional rodeos across the United States with Cheyenne Wimberley. Her performance at the 2022 season, where they missed it by $1200, placing them 16th, it also cemented her status as a true competitor in the barrel racing community. Despite the best efforts of veterinarians, including Dr. Josh Harvey, who is famous for going the extra mile for the horses he treats. Luck couldn’t favor Lex and 70 Ranch. Harvey treated her in Outlaw Equine Hospital and Rehab Center. Lex was facing circulatory issues in her feet. Eventually, it led to her inability to grow a heel and deteriorated her quality of life over time. Thus, after much consideration, 70 Ranch made the difficult decision to lay her to rest. They didn’t want her to go through any pain, more than she already has.
70 Ranch is home to 12 mares, with Lex being one of the standout members of their broodmare lineup. Following her passing, 11 mares remain at the ranch. The ranch also operates six stallions, with all 70 Ranch’s stallions collected on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, maintaining a rigorous and professional breeding program. But the loss of Lex, in particular, has left many fans heartbroken.
But they continue to honor her with messages of gratitude and admiration. One fan expressed, “She was a sweet girl, I looked forward to seeing her face everyday at work, sorry for your loss 🤍”.
