A star-studded affair will tip-off tonight when Alabama faces Rutgers in another early college basketball tournament matchup.
Rutgers, boasting two elite college hoops stars in Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper, will face a tall task against the No. 4 ranked Crimson Tide.
Alabama, 5-1, is coming off a masterpiece offensive performance against the country’s top ranked defensive unit, the Houston Cougars.
Houston, who is rated the No. 1 defense and No. 1 overall by Ken Pem, surrendered 85 points to a high-powered Alabama last time out.
Can Harper and Bailey keep up with Alabama?
Expect offense, offense, and more offense in Wednesday night’s matchup beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
Spread | Moneyline | Total | |
---|---|---|---|
Alabama | -10.5 (-110) | -530 | Over 161.5 (-110) |
Rutgers | +10.5 (-110) | +440 | Under 161.5 (-110) |
No one in their right mind would doubt that Rutgers has elite level talent, but there will be loads of issues for them to put it all together.
Rutgers lost to and at one point trailed by 21 points to Kennesaw State prior to their win over Notre Dame in overtime.
Bailey and Harper are two elite talents but they haven’t showed much of a team other than those two.
Alabama has quality wins on their schedule already so this is a good spot to target the Crimson Tide.
KenPom has Alabama rated the No. 6 team in college basketball with Rutgers way down the list at 78.
It’s a nightmare matchup for Rutgers where even if Bailey decides to go nuclear drop 35-points they probably still can’t hold a candle to college’s No. 3 rated offense according to KenPom.
PICK: Alabama -10 (-110, Fanatics)
