A first-of-its-kind fitness and wellness festival, ROC SweatFest, is heading to the Eastview Mall on Sunday, Jan. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sponsored by Lululemon, this event will bring together Rochester fitness studios, instructors and wellness experts to offer a range of inclusive fitness classes suited for all attendees.
The festival will give attendees the option to choose up to three 30-minute classes or workshops from each of the three sessions.
The 8 a.m. session classes include cycling, bodyweight conditioning, Hyrox training and barre. Attendees selecting the 9 a.m. session can choose from Hyrox, Step, Zumba, Pilates, cycling and a vision board-creating workshop. The 10 a.m. session includes Hyrox, cycling, Pilates, GiGiFIT with Gigi’s Playhouse, Elev8 with Elevate 585 and a sugar 101 workshop.
Space for the event is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased through Eventzilla for $32.86 and proceeds will go to support GiGi’s Playhouse, which offers free therapeutic and educational programs to individuals of all ages with Down Syndrome.
“Our city has some of the best cultural assets in the country, and that includes fitness,” SweatFest Founder and Lululemon Ambassador Ashley Russ said. “All the studios and gyms that are supporting ROC SweatFest support one another, love our community and clients and are proud that, together, we play a small role in the health and wellness of both.”
The independent Rochester fitness boutiques and wellness professionals that will be in attendance include Compass Cycle+Flow, SPOKE, Elevate 585, The Reformery, Great Wolf Crossfit, Hikyoga, YMCA of Greater Rochester, Getting it Daily, Burn Bootcamp and Mackenzie’s Table.
